Not Your Average Soap Maker

Bohemia & Flower make vegan bar soap free from palm oil, using plant-based ingredients with zero cruelty. My soaps use pure essential oil blends, are river and water friendly (all ingredients naturally biodegrade) and are made with responsibly sourced coconut oil. I never use additives, SLS, parabens, mica, artificial colours, fragrances or parfum.

At the heart of my small business is the belief that wellbeing starts with the self and ripples out into everything else. When we take good care of ourselves, we can better support our communities & the environment. A few sustainable swaps make life greener. Bohemia & Flower is about keeping hope & positive action alive in the everyday. I personally love to keep life simple and elevating your everyday self-care is part of this ethos.

We Do Things Differently

Bohemia & Flower are committed to:

• Using fully recyclable / home compostable packaging
• Offering packaging-free soap - choose to shop naked 👌🏻
• Zero plastic in our packaging & minimal plastic from suppliers
• Using wooden moulds (not silicone) for traditional soap making
• Lining moulds with paper parchment, which then gets composted
• Recycling and repurposing equipment; large ex- food packaging from Wasted Kitchen and mushroom crates for curing soap sourced from Grain & Hearth and Macknade.

Our Footprint

Bohemia & Flower also:

• Operate as a low-energy business using the traditional cold process method
• Use minimal heat by letting the soap naturally “cook” itself
• We do however employ these of a dehumidifier in damp winter months to maintain storage conditions
• Work toward proactive waste use, e.g., incorporating used coffee grounds into soaps
• Plan to grow organically, introducing more products we love at a sustainable pace
